Installed in my toy tractor to keep track of the batteries when unplugged. It's been three years and he's still working. I have an expensive Victron battery monitor plugged into a cabinet for battery use, but it gives me voltage information at a glance. They always go together. No complaints at all.

I installed this on my ham radio and it's a really good gauge. The display is easy to see, and the "fuel" gauge around the perimeter is a good visual indicator of how much juice is left in the battery. It's easy to install using a standard 1 3/8" diameter hole saw for the mounting hole (same size as the other round panel mounts). This will likely become my go-to meter for 12V DC applications.

I wanted to use this device to monitor a dead battery in my trailer. I installed a voltmeter and worked as advertised for about 30 seconds, then turned it off. Check polarity before connecting. I'm not very happy I cut a hole specifically for this device and now the gauge doesn't work for me. I'm giving the product one star because it looked like the perfect image for a state of charge. I hope this is an isolated case.

Works great! I love the brightness, but it can be distracting for some if it's too high on the dash. Doesn't bother me at all. The case was a little big for the old 12v outlet in my Xterra, but a little sanding helped fit it in. The nut included in the kit holds it very tight. To me, this is a key indicator for any car with lots of lights, a large stereo, electric fans, or walks that require you to keep track of your ticket home. Readings worked like clockwork. The only problem is that it's hard to see in the sunlight. I installed it on my boat and it was difficult to see even in a shaded area when the boat was on a trailer. I will try in the water with a bimini top that will provide shade and update. Probably more suitable for the car. This gave me accurate readings. The screen was a bit blurry. updated. I really like the colorful display. It's been on my wish list for months. But to be honest, he's much more attractive in studio photos. Virtually invisible in direct sunlight. The normal operating range of my machine is between 13.9 and 14.1, which means the entire bar graph is on all the time.
