Make It Work McGuyiver

This tie sucks but it's the only one available and exactly as described. For now I'm still using nylon cord to hold the whip antenna down, but I'll eventually modify this clamp to make it work. It certainly won't stick to a car's rain gutter without damaging it or falling off.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Crumpled

Easy installation of accessories and consumables

A simple and high quality part for attaching long CB/HAM steel wire antennas to the roofline of a vehicle. When entering garages or woods with a vehicle equipped with 102" steel whip antennas, make sure they are curved and not touching the ceiling or tree branches overhead. These clamps secure the tip of the steel pin until it stays upright. again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Compatibility

Too delicate for accessories and consumables

Too delicate for the job. At 70 mph with the 102-inch whip extended forward and in the clamp, the entire unit dislodged from its clamped position on the chute. Nobody saw him again. I tried to do a reverse action, but with a clamp somewhere on I-95, it was a waste of time. Cannot recommend this unit unless powered by a golf cart or something small and slow.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Minor issues

Cheap, half plastic and ugly as dog shit

Looks like stainless steel. But the top part is plastic and it's shamelessly ugly! Could you PAY ME to put that on our 100,000 show truck. Someone has to make a sleek stainless steel or matte black powder coated version. I can pay $30-$40 for a QUALITY product. It's cheap, ugly and does NOT fit my truck. The item is NOT as it appears or is described.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Weight

Works as described but without lock washer and mounting options are limited by design. I carefully bent mine to drill a small hole in the post and secure it with a screw. Hope the plastic part holds up. There aren't many options for this type of mount, but for the price I might try making my own instead of buying this product.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Whip antenna mount / aerial holder

This whip antenna mount is good however a slightly better grip can be used to prevent it from slipping off the car drip (even when trying to tighten it more) and so on it does not slip up when panning the antenna. Because of this problem, I tore off the antenna from the dripper. Luckily it happened in a garage, not on the street, where it could easily get lost or, worse, be flung from an antenna onto the windshield.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Nothing
