Just installed them on the sides of the bed in the guest room. For some reason I thought they had a 3 way switch but when I went back to the description there was no mention of a 3 way switch so I guess that's my fault. but another reviewer said the same thing. Can be used with cord and cord cover but I think it would be much better if an electrician installed it in a junction box.

As others have said, once assembled this lamp doesn't look like the picture. The top is not horizontal, it slopes down. If you want it to look like the picture you will need to support something under the base to tilt the base to balance. This will warp the vertical plane and tilt it so that the top is level horizontally - it's a losing situation. I would only recommend this lamp if you can "hide" the base under one side of a sofa or behind a chair, as long as you don't mind the vertical part…

Love this lamp. I don't like how it is sold on this site. The lamp comes with a 24 inch pipe cord cover. Unfortunately, this is not shown in the photos and is not mentioned anywhere in the text. Revane "helpfully" suggested that I buy a matching cable cover, which I did. you will get it. return. The lamp is solid and looks great. Perfection is impossible at this price. We have tried others and are sticking with these. Cons: When the lever is tightened it approaches level but still seems to sag, but when the lever is tightened the lamp arm cannot swing back and forth. If the hand is free, it really sags. We needed them to swing because they stick out a bit from the wall. These lamps were just what I wanted for late night reading. The color and look matched my decor perfectly, and the size and style were just right.
