Great product, sent what I bought but Mitsubishi Mirage owners according to the locksmith I went to they need a special 'key slot'. If you have a mirage, you have to go through the Mitsubishi warehouse. Good product but it said it fits my car which it doesn't.

I bought a car and also got a working key fob that is no longer tethered to the keyring. The seller mentioned using hot glue to fix it. I shuddered at the thought. This product was my lifesaver. Even the fact that I could only use half of it to salvage my cutting blade solved my problem.

Works great as a new replacement case/blank key. I rearranged the insides after the locksmith cut the blank for me because the original key wouldn't fit in the case. The base of the original key comes out while the blank is straight up and down. I saved a lot of money buying this versus the advertised price of $425 for a new keychain.

The new key unscrews from the key fob as if you could unscrew the old key and put it in the new key fob, which is what I would do . But unfortunately the hole in the old key does not match the new key fob and cannot be screwed together. The buttons were a pain trying to line them up to close the outer shell. Otherwise everything worked and I was still able to program it.

They contain NO electronics so they actually work. I thought the red part was an electronic element in its own right, but it's a blank piece of plastic with no electronics. So buyers beware. This kit only fixes cosmetic issues with your key. He won't start your car. This way you can get in the car and turn on the ignition. but no electronics. The car will not start. Pretty messing around and feeling ripped off.

I knew it was just a key blade, plastic case and internal parts with no electronics that I wanted to fix for my remote control. So my bad rating is not based on this issue. My problem was that I ordered a two button remote and it was the correct shell, but then the replacement buttons sent were configured as three buttons (with a trunk release button) and didn't fit. I ended up having to use my old worn out buttons. Someone in QA didn't realize that button 3 doesn't work with button 2.
