Good for music, bad for phone calls.

Benefits: Easy to install. Excellent sound quality for music. Excellent sound quality on incoming calls. Cons: Nobody can hear me when I'm on the phone. my music on the car radio. I can't tell much of a difference between listening to music through it and listening through a wired audio jack. This allows you to skip songs forward and backward as well as pause the music. It connects automatically when you turn on the car, which is a really neat feature. The problem is that I bought it for the…

Very good option for cars without Bluetooth

I have a new Bluetooth enabled car for hands free audio streaming and phone use and I love it. I had an AUX input in my old car and found it very difficult to deal with the wired connection so I could stream music from my phone. This unit was very easy to connect using my existing aux-in and once you have bluetooth in your car for music/audio streaming you will never go back to the aux cable. I also like the hands-free function of the phone, it's very handy for answering a call when your phone…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Auto power on and pairing when vehicle starts. All you have to do is follow the prompts to complete the initial pairing with your phone and then leave your new device plugged into the cigarette lighter. From now on you'll never have to deal with it again. Exactly what I was looking for. I listen to podcasts while driving. I don't call often so can't comment on how well it works for phone calls. - It sends a small beep (not intrusive) through the stereo when paired. - Pairing takes about 5…

. Since posting the full review, I've upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I actually figured out how to use the car bluetooth just for phone calls and I will keep the BTC450 kit because I can use it for Siri which is an important added value. I actually have the option to use the HFL Accord with steering wheel controls to call people I have in the HFL phone book or use Siri through my Kinivo device to make other calls, send text messages, get directions (iPhone Nav with Google Maps or Maps…

It seems like it's MUCH earlier than a year ago.

Wow, it seems like it has been MUCH more than a year since I bought Kinivo. I LOVE THIS THING! I have an older car that has at least a headphone audio jack and a cigarette lighter/power port. You can plug this into your car and your phone will bluetooth connect every time you get in the car. like new car! The large main button lets you play or pause music and answer/end calls. Additionally, holding down the large main button launches the Google Assistant, which then speaks into the built-in…

  • Seamless music streaming from any Bluetooth-enabled device (A2DP); supports aptX for CD quality audio

Good music quality, decent phone calls

For devices with older technology (Bluetooth 2.1), it still works well with my Samsung Galaxy S21. I replaced a broken MPOW Streambot 2 (have owned it for years) with this one and compared it to an Aston SoundTek A2 (slightly newer Bluetooth 4.1). Note. I tested in a quiet garage with the car off; So this is not a noise reduction test. 5/5 Music Quality: Music quality is on par with SoundTek (using Tidal's HiFi tracks), but there's a slight lag in system sounds, likely due to the lack of APT-X.

Pros
  • Requires 3.5mm audio input on car stereo. Built-in microphone and convenient music control
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
