🚽 KOHLER Alteo Collection Bathroom Towel Ring in Polished Chrome - K-37057-CP Review

This item looks really regal. Amazing finish, quite large (about 9-10 inches wide from end to end). There's just so much sticking out which means your elbows or your kids might bump into it a bit. It is good for my bathroom because it is designed from the outside, but if you have a small bathroom, it will seem too big.

Attaches to the wall with a set screw that will loosen after a few days of use. Ours had a defect, causing the bolt holding the two chrome "C" pieces together to snap off and not tighten. Therefore, when the device is placed on the wall, the end of the chrome piece moves back and forth. Not durable at all. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew I'd have to hang it back on the wall every week and wait for the edge piece to fall off completely.

They're beautiful and durable, but I have one caveat. We bought two of these to place on opposite sides of a very long double sink because we thought we could change the 'plaque'. This is NOT a feature of these rings. The swoop only moves in one direction and doesn't move at all, despite having a screw that looks like it could be unscrewed and flipped. This is a really good quality product but I put a star to draw your attention as the other reviews and descriptions of the product lacked any aesthetic information. You CANNOT achieve the symmetrical look of a dual vanity bathroom with two of these hooked posts. Based on the photos and design, one would think that the base could be turned upside down to mount on the opposite wall (for symmetry) to still allow the hook to be inserted. The extension is attached to the base so you can't flip it over and make a hole on the other side. What a silly design to be honest. Two of these were bought about 18 months ago. Very nice lamp and easy to install. I like the tire that makes it a bit harder for the cat to deploy the TP. This towel ring feels good and solid. In the right application, of course, it would be great. However, I have a few questions. I wanted to install it with a screw hole on top so it wouldn't be visible as it hangs quite high in our bathroom. I can't do it because it can only be as it is in the picture.
