Nice strong kraft paper and tie. They have NO plastic layer. They are clay coated for aesthetics and ease of printing and are fully compostable when the tie is removed. Please note: I am trying these out for freshly roasted coffee and am tired of waiting days for it to degas. I hope that this permeable material will speed up the process.

This was exactly what I was looking for. We buy coffee in large Measure and then grind at home twice a week.Perfect for our commercial grinder, these packs hold a full pound and sometimes even more depending on the grind setting you choose.I will buy these again when they run out because I can't imagine anyone else making these pewter tie bags for everyone cheaper and working better.

They are perfect for wrapping my home roasted coffee for Christmas gifts! They're strong and won't tear in transit and I like the label stock. I can stamp or write with a pen or marker, or use a sticker. Thus, they can be adapted or used for other activities. They hold exactly 16 ounces and roll the tie correctly. These bags are not airtight and do not use a one-way CO2 valve. But when it's freshly roasted, you don't need them and you'll soon have it all!
