Great value and quality.

quality corresponds to the price. The pads are thick and placed in the right place. Doesn't move like the others you see on Amazon.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • quality

Excellent pads, hardly noticeable

I have ordered (and returned) several brands of these impact shorts. They fit the best and didn't feel like "wearing a diaper" at all.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Like Amex, don't leave home without them

Can't tell if my falls are minimal or if these shorts work that well. They sit comfortably and do not put any strain on the middle of the body. I love 3df, it takes the shape of the body beautifully.

Pros
  • A decent job
Cons
  • Some bugs

The suede is terrible

The suede in it is too far forward and doesn't cover the sit bones at all! Push back the suede and that would be great, but for now it's a fatal mistake. Although the thigh padding is excellent.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Very comfortable, ideally suited for motorcycles and power sports

I wore them on the Whole Enchilada for an intense trip around Moab, completely forgetting they were soft shorts. They are very comfortable and unobtrusive. Fortunately, there was no way to test crash performance.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Some Problems

Not bad for hot weather and a bit of rest.

The suede isn't too bulky but does the job. The hip and thigh pads have not been tested but I'm sure they will help in a fall. The mesh is very light and cool, durability is an issue but only time will tell. Nice suede shorts with some padding.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons

Excellent hip and quadriceps protection.

Mtn bikers get full face, elbow and knee protection and chest protection for park or downhill riding. Even armed release your hips because you will always fall. As a crazy mountain bike doctor, I got them after suffering a ton of bumps, bruises and scrapes. Excellent hip and thigh protection. Litt always has great style. Fits great. Now gives extra confidence where I push my limits.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Traded in

Added Security for Motorcycles and Powersports

I am a 59 year old mountain bike rider looking to keep riding. So I'm in protective gear. I've worn these shorts a number of times and love them. You'll find you sweat more in them, but I don't realize it, and I don't even realize I'm wearing them until I take them off. I fell over wearing it this year, not much but the thigh pad made it, I didn't feel a thing. I have a waist around 33 and I bought a large one. It fits great.

Pros
  • Absolutely Awesome!
Cons
  • Operating speed
