Type of review

I had to believe the bad reviews about it. Besides the beautiful appearance, it is very small, which is what I expected. But the light is no brighter than a dim night light. This will not happen unless you are very close to it. If it were a little brighter and more sensitive it would be perfect until I'm impressed. I have yet to test in total darkness, that's for sure, but I tested in a fairly dark place and other than it glowing, nothing else happened. I would advise you to get another product

Ordered 2 pieces - difference in brightness

Ordered 2 of these for use at a poorly lit entrance. I put batteries in both and ONE is nice and bright, the other is pretty dim and doesn't put out much light at all. . . I want to return the dim light, but I opened (cut open) the package. Update, I was able to get a replacement for the dim light. But I have to say that overall these lamps are probably a waste of money. They don't give off enough light - I have battery operated flashlights in my closet that shine bright and turn on instantly…

ATTENTION: Bronze color used to be more silver now it's real bronze

I've ordered many of these for our stairs over the years, they work decent enough, enough to keep buying replacements, when they are needed they appear too dull and replacing the battery no longer fixes the problem. Although there are only 2 color options, white and bronze, we always ordered the bronze color and they came more silver. Although this time they are real bronze. Excellent - now I have 9 silver lamps on the stairs and one real bronze lamp. Has anyone else noticed this recent color…

Pros
  • There are few competitors
Cons
  • There are imperfections

- When all the lights are off I literally have to put my hand or foot within 4 inches (I measured) of the light to activate it, rendering it useless . Only when it is a little lighter do they feel movement and fire from a few meters away. They CANNOT sense movement in total darkness unless very close. I've walked up and down the stairs in total darkness and they won't activate. - One of the lights doesn't even activate if I don't touch it. - Oh yeah. It's less than a week - Hopefully someone…

Beautiful looks and great work - great company too if needed!

I installed this light outside under a flat cornice above my front door to my house. I wasn't sure it would hold up because I didn't want to use screws, but it held up and works great! I wanted to be able to see my doorknob and keyhole at night and this does exactly that! I'm so excited and very happy with it! On the other hand, Fulcrum's customer support is just great. I contacted them about another product of theirs that I have had for a long time and they exceeded my expectations so I…

Not quite what I was looking for

This looks nice but doesn't give enough light for my purposes. I installed it in the hallway at the top of the stairs as there is no light there. I used the tape that came with the kit and it's holding up well so far, but I just taped it today. However, there is a fundamental design flaw that doesn't make sense to me. . . You have the option to turn the switch to the "on", "off" position. or "auto", however the switch is hidden behind a plastic plate next to the battery compartment and can only

. but now the light is fading. Tried new batteries and hope they last. It takes 3 AAA and I used regular Duracell batteries, not special ones - maybe that's why I have a short battery life. PROS: Looks attractive, battery operated so can be placed anywhere, can be taped or nailed in place, although I've only put mine on stairs to try different locations. It lights the area well so I can see how it's possible to walk up/down the stairs at night. Turns on when I go up or down a step, or when I…

I really wanted to love her, but.

I bought 16 of these to use as a main emergency light during a power outage. Because power outages are unpredictable, I chose this model because it's attractive enough to keep on year-round. Unfortunately, the issues with battery life and cover design are so annoying that the bulbs now live in a box in the closet with my own screwdriver, while I live with black mounting plates on the walls year-round. What you should know: 1) Reviewers don't joke. These things burn up batteries at an amazing…
