This is really useful if you have family and friends who live in Asia or other parts of the world and use a 220-240V power supply. i) It works wellii) This comes with a spare fuse which I used up on the first day (I forgot to toggle the red switch on the back of the transformer from 110v to 230v). It gives 5 stars because it works as described and I had no problems. with driving at 750 watts.

I bought this transformer during a business trip to Southeast Asia. I hooked up two 500w speakers and a sound card with no problem as long as I set the speakers to maximum output. This is a very strong and durable transformer that has endured all 5 days on earth in various environmental conditions. Yes, it is heavier, but all transformers with the same parameters are like that, this is the result of an iron core and copper windings. Such weights are inevitable.

After reading horror stories about comparable products I immediately tested the one I received. I will be staying in Europe for a few months and wanted to make sure this product worked. I connected it to a dryer socket (240 volts) and connected a 110 volt heater to the converter. The heater on "low" drew nearly 5 amps, about 560 watts.
