Description of LMT Onsrud 63 625 Uncoated Diameter

Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Single flute, 22 degree angle.

Efficient Router Bit for Precise Cuts!

This router bit is a game changer. Industrial and Scientific, its made for heavy-duty projects and delivers results. After I put it to the test I was impressed with its ability to make precise cuts with ease. The uncoated design allows for optimal chip evacuation, REDUCING clogs and ensuring a smoother cut .The only downside is that it may not be suitable for beginners due to its size and power. Overall, a great addition to any cutting tools collection..

Pros
  • High-quality and durable cutting performance.
Cons
  • Not suitable for cutting certain materials such as heat-sensitive ones due to its uncoated surface.

Great for CNC routers

I was struggling to find something that would cut aluminum at high RPM on my CNC router without chip welding. It was the answer. I do about 5000 linear inches of cut work and this is absolutely no problem. I use this drill bit to cut 6061 aluminum at 76 ipm at 18000 rpm with great results. I only use .065" DOC because my car lacks the rigidity.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Legacy model
