Magnavox DV225MG9 DVD player and 4 head HiFi Stereo VCR

Wonderful DVD/Video player. I bought the same Magnavox player about 8 years ago and it has stood the test of time over many years. When my old one finally wore out, I was glad it was still for sale on Revain.com. I have re-ordered this Magnavox DVD/VCR player without hesitation and hope it will last 8 years or more. Thanks to Magnavox and Revain. Sincerely Zhanna

A disappointing mistake

I ordered this DVD/VCR combo to replace mine because the VCR broke down. Although the description of this machine states that everything has been tested, the DVD does not work. I was working on a DVD but couldn't even get it to load the DVD. I have found a compromise and will be using both devices on different TVs rather than bothering with returning one and throwing away the other. Otherwise the delivery came a day early and was very well packaged.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Unfortunately it's Magnavox

Wanted a VHS recorder to replace the one I've only used 5x. then the VHS player only plays 6-10 seconds and turns off. Did everything suggested for troubleshooting ie checked for objects inside, unplugged and powered off overnight etc. Thought I was buying a different brand but must have been confused as it is the same. like the first. Magnavox just doesn't build them like they used to. Very shabby. This VHS/DVD player is fine, but hooking it up became a nightmare because none of the ports…

Big disappointment. waste of money.!

I bought this device in mid-November 2013 and the return window closed at the end of January 2014. Since February, the unit began to"jump"! The DVD got stuck every now and then. Sometimes the device would even freeze so I couldn't eject the drive until I unplugged the device, waited a while and plugged it back in to eject the drive.! Cleaning a DVD etc. doesn't matter. I bought this device because: (a) the Magnavox name is known for its quality; and (b) my very satisfactory experience of a…

Magnavox Player Works with analogue TVs

Our Panasonic VCR broke a few weeks ago and we had to replace it. The TV we used it with is a 25 year old GE. This player works with our old TV and we can play VHS tapes, record VHS tapes and watch DVDs. I use a Comcast cable box. This device does not have a tuner, so you need an external one, e.g. B. a cable box. In addition, your TV MUST have RCA connectors on the back: 3 colored connectors - yellow (video signal) and red and white for audio. You need to buy another set of RCA cables if you…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
