Didn't fit my 2011 Honda Civic lx

Didn't fit my 2011 Honda Civic lx coupe. I had to throw it straight in the trash. I am happy to give this product 1 star because it is compatible with my car make and model. Save time and money and go to your local car radio dealer and buy the right wiring harness.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • boring packaging

Questionable at first, worked great

I bought this product with a Sony XAV-AX1000, the product connects directly to a 2010 Honda Insight. An antenna adapter was not included, you need to buy it if you want to listen to AM/FM radio. The wire harness connects to the aftermarket radio wires and to the original equipment radio wire harness. You may also need additional tools (solder kit) to connect the wires.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Works but no auto dimming - orange wire

Orange (backlit) harness connected to Sony XAV orange/white (dimmer) but when headlights are on the GU does not dim. Some studies state that the lighting and dimmer pins on the subway wiring harness should be swapped. Add to review /// Warning /// To do this If you're expecting auto dimming, you can pull out the orange pin and plug it into the other side of the connector. Then connect the orange wire to the dimmer wire on the HU. The wiring harness (dnF) from xbay has 1 orange backlight and 1…

Honda Fit 2012 - Wiring Harnesses for Radio

This is a solid product - the 'female' wiring harness matches the 'daddies' in my 2012 Honda Fit with no manufacturing defects. My application is different from most - I wanted to keep the factory main unit but add an amplifier. I bought a 70-1729 and a Metra 71-1729 (which has a connector to connect to the head unit). This allowed me to connect the head unit speaker outputs to the amp without cutting or cutting the factory wires. The only downside to this approach is that Metra products…

Great product for new Honda vehicles

This is a great product to add an aftermarket radio to your new Honda. This part goes straight to the wiring harness in the car that used to be connected to the Honda factory radio. Plugging it into your aftermarket radio's wiring harness will make installation easier and then easier to remove and everything will be nice and tidy. In fact, I did all the wiring in my house. This is very easy as the colored wires also have text printed on them that explains the wire's purpose (light, power, left…

BHA1729 from Best Kits is better

I have a 2016 Honda Accord Touring (with factory amp). I don't think it's important, but I'll add it just in case it's important to everyone. In any case, this cable set is used to adapt the factory connector A (24-pin main connector) of the head unit to the AFTERMARKET solution. It is NOT fully populated. Only 13 of the 24 pins are used: 3 of the 4 "outer" pins are present (the dimmer pin is missing as shown in the upper left corner of the attached image). If you're aware, the Scosche HA11B is
