Very good fit for car AV installation

The fit in the 2004 Lexus ES 330 was almost perfect and looks pretty good. The only reason for 4 stars is the location of the chrome strip removed from the head unit. Unfortunately, silver items don't fit very well. For me it meant ok. leave a gap of 1mm between the new set and the pads. It's not that noticeable, but once you know it's there it's pretty easy to see. I'm also concerned that the gap will be filled with garbage over time. All in all, if you want a dual din stereo in your Lexus…

Product OK - In-car audio and video installation

This is a relatively cheap solution for those upgrading their stereo (which I recommend to anyone with a Lexus ES as the standard radio is terrible). The fit and finish are okay, the quality is acceptable, but they should have done a few things differently. The plastic caliber is thin and very thin (compared to the standard bezel)2. Brackets for the head unit PLASTIC! Yes, plastic, it's not very difficult to break this thing into a million pieces and steal the radio. I'd happily spend $25-$50…

Perfect solution! About Auto & Vehicle Electronics

A few years ago my wife and I bought a 2004 Lexus ES330. We only used the factory stereo, I decided to replace it when it needed modern technology (the factory didn't even play MP3s and had a cassette player!). Well that day was shortly after we bought it so I started checking local installers to see what could be done as I couldn't find any information on aftermarket solutions for this. All the locals told me the same thing: there is no aftermarket solution, you have to create a custom…

Almost Perfect

Excellent solution for installing single or dual speaker head units in your 2002-2006 Lexus ES300/330. Don't let the description in the title fool you about the single din dashboard kit. It fits both single and double din, but includes a space-filling box for single din use. The only issue I had was that it didn't fit snugly in my dash, but that might be my own fault for not mounting the head unit perfectly on its mounts and then shoving that and all the complicated wiring spaghetti into the…

Perfect Fit

Metra ES 300/330 02-06 Single Din Dash Kit fits my wife's 2002 Lexus ES300 perfectly and the color matches the dashboard exactly. The factory AC vents, clock and turn signal button slide out of the factory bezel and snap back into place on this new Metra panel. They reuse the chrome strips on the sides and the plastic clips from the OEM front panel. You can install a double DIN head unit or a single DIN head unit. The included storage pouch is used with single din stereos and is a great place…

Poor fit and finish

I used this to install a stereo in my 2002 Lexus ES300. If you're like me, you've been wondering if you even need it. My existing factory radio was a navigation radio, which is theoretically the same size as an aftermarket two din stereo, but is actually larger. The hole in the existing pad is too big. Yes, you need it, and if you're like me, you're lucky there's a company out there willing to do it, otherwise your aftermarket stereo will look like crap. I'd like to address some of the issues…
