This is a magnet. This is an NMO connection. This is an NMO connector with a magnetic mount. It was cheaper here than in the Midlands. Enough?

We used it off-road where there was definitely no cellular connection. It was a great and clear way to communicate with our vehicle group.

Very well made. Antenna with a gain of six dB. I get 140 watts of power with a 40 watt Midland power. only tested at around 70 km/h. with big trucks driving in the opposite direction. no problem.

A very strong magnet that stays in place both off road and at high speeds. I had a little problem when I ripped the rubber gasket that came with the kit. I called Midland and they sent me a new one for free! Amazing Customer Service for 2020! Thanks Midland.

If I had one complaint it would be the length of the cable. My medium sized truck doesn't need that much cable to run from the roof (the highest point of the car) to the center console. Maybe if I let it run forward from the bed. Well built. The magnetic base is coated with silicone to prevent scratches and rust. Great feature!

This is the second Midland magnetic mount I have purchased. Nice mount, but this item comes with an 18ft cable and not a 12ft cable as advertised. I already have a midland mount with a longer 18 feet [actually 6 meters] that is too long for my SUV. I think I'll just cut my existing Midland magnet mounting cable to the length needed and re-solder the connection.
