This works well but takes a while

I got this to install a dryer duct through a plaster wall for a portable air conditioner. This works well, but takes a while. I'm talking 10 to 20 minutes to drill through the wall from the outside. I didn't time it. It seemed like a long time ago. I'm still looking for the same hole saw but with diamond. I believe it will take about 5 minutes.

Cuts through plaster like butter.

This hole saw is just over 4" in diameter, allowing the hole to accommodate a 4" dryer vent. It quickly cuts through plaster (previously only up to 3/4 inch) and fine mesh. Maybe I'll build a lathe for metal, but I don't know yet. It's best to switch to a serrated bit for OSB and plywood. You don't need ultra-fast speeds to get through the material. I just bought one before messing up 2 prong crowns on the other dryer ports. So life is.

When you need to cut through plaster or drywall, this gets the job done like a hot knife through butter.

When you need to cut through plaster on walls, it gets the job done like a hot knife through butter. I had to cut holes in my plasterboard wall to blow through the insulation. I started with a semi-steel drill with a round hole, but after a few cuts the drill lost its sharpness. But this diamond duster never lost its sharpness after drilling more than 15 holes. It's all about science! It is the right tool for cutting plaster and drywall. I wish I had updated this before going through 2 semi…
