Just need something small for long trips to hold your essentials and rain gear. Best not to expand IMO, but it's there when you need it. Nothing special, but that should be reflected in the price. This will get the job done. Anything that shouldn't get wet should be put in dry sacks/bags anyway. If it does rain you should be double bagged or just plan on getting your stuff wet no matter how good the bag is. Thank you for reading.

This bag could be better designed: 1- The buckles on the bag are not attached to the bottom of the bag; They are attached an inch or more above the base. This allows the sides of the bag to fold in when the straps are tightened. 2- There is a plastic insert on the front of the bag that gives it some rigidity. The insert in my pocket was too long causing it to sag inward. I had to trim it with scissors to fit. Unfortunately the bow took the kit and it will not sit flat. 3- The bag must be filled

This is a small bag as I expected, perfect for a water bottle and a few essentials. Pain due to where the bindings are. It's like you either use it without an extension all the time or you extend it all the time. I had no trouble unbuckling the straps as some have mentioned. I washed my bike in a bag and the water didn't get into the bag but it was damp inside. So semi waterproof. It comes with a cap that can be put on for waterproofing.
