Excellent motherboard, the best among motherboards

I bought an MSI H110i Pro motherboard for my new PC. It's perfect for my needs/use and has the best port layout I've ever seen on an iTX motherboard. (Everything is on the outside edges of the board) Pros: Great build quality Perfect port layout Great design Full fan control via Nice BIOS M.2 PCIe 2.0 x4 SSD support Cons: Anything I would list here would have a direct chipset limitation even Intel H110. If you don't need the overclocking capabilities of the Z170 chipset, or the RAID…

Great motherboard for the price.

The smallest motherboard it could be! This item is great for a budget build. It comes with everything you need (aside from built-in Wi-Fi), but other than that it's great. I deducted a star because it comes with pre-installed malware that you have to remove manually if you don't want antivirus notifications to pop up from time to time. I would not recommend this motherboard if you are trying to overclock or do heavy editing/gaming. But for the average user, this will be more than enough.

It is recommended to use Windows 64 bit.

As long as everything is good on the motherboard it works like a champ, play World of Warcraft, this game consumes a lot of data transfer, no latency problems, runs on Windows 8.1 64-bit and only uses 8 megabytes of ddr4 2100 (2 sticks ) RAM. Insert a stick into slot 1 and another into slot 3 to duel the motherboard with the prompt to place (16 megabytes) of memory. With m.2 Samsung 960 Gaming Pro 500MB card and MSI 1050i graphics card, 1000MB hard drive and Intel I5 processor, no need to…

Warning to 7th generation users of Kaby Lake! Excellent motherboard

If you are planning to buy a 7th Gen Kaby Lake processor, please read the warning first. This is a great budget board. I used this board to build a great entry level gaming pc for my nephew (i5 6600k with MSI GTX 1060, I know the k wasn't necessary as it couldn't be overclocked but it was the same price like without the k when I bought it) and I bought this board for a very compact build (media and gaming pc). Aside from needing to update the BIOS before releasing it with a 7th gen processor…

  • You could have chosen a newer model

Ideal for a low cost Skylake processor based build

I chose to use the board with the MSI H110 chipset for its utility with extensive fan speed settings. I want the PC to be as quiet as possible and their fan speed utility allows you to set custom speed curves based on temperature and it works great. The utility can work with non-MSI boards, but I wanted to support them as it is very good. I connected the MB to an i5-6500 with CoolerMaster 212 EVO cooling and everything is very quiet. I can also confirm that the onboard Realtek 2.1 and 5.1…

Great for Linux on motherboards

I read on here that people had problems with Bluetooth but I didn't. I was able to use my devices effortlessly. In terms of booting, I was able to boot into Ubuntu with no issues. However, it wouldn't start a second time due to an issue, but I was able to fix this issue by testing it on a different monitor. The PC worked and I could tell that the wrong power supply was installed. So Linux works fine.

Done - Computers and Accessories

DOA. It arrived without anti-static packaging and with an exposed SATA cable, so it was clearly used by someone and returned. The protective plastic element on the socket came loose during shipping and came into contact with open contacts, causing 4 of them to bend. Attached is a photo of the damage. I tried to smooth them out as best I could and it worked for a while, but after a few hours they were completely dead. I tested it with two power supplies and neither could get the system to show…
