I bought this router because my previous router, an older Netgear, started losing our internet connection over our wifi. The old router was 5-6 years old so I thought it was time to replace it and bought this router. At first, our WLAN remained stable. However, after several days of stable operation, Wi-Fi began to disappear again. The connection dropped randomly throughout the day and at times it seemed to get worse. I thought it was our ISP but after several visits and discussions with the…

ENOUGH FOR A PERFECT USER

For a daily, albeit non-professional, user, this router seemed normal to me. Setup was NOT intuitive, but done. Attempts to change the factory keys to what I wanted were unsuccessful, so I just used the ones provided. Updating the router firmware since production seemed problematic at first, but it has since settled down and the router hasn't lost signal again. Signal strength and speed now depend only on the internet provider. The buyer should understand that this is an older model of router…

It worked for 1 month

I used it for 1 month and then there was a power outage in my area and it stopped working. He was not affected by the surge. I connected it to an extension cord with surge protection. It just rebooted when the power was turned off and now it's losing the password every day. I create a new password and reconnect all my devices and it works for a few hours but then suddenly the password stops working and I have to go through the whole process again. Their customer service expires around the same…

Works well for the price

I still love this product. I installed and bought Ziply Fiber because my old network used a modem router. I've always liked and trusted Netgrear and it still works, but I'd say it's cheaply made, but it works, and that's the most important thing. I believe it is supplied by your internet company. It works and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 as mentioned is that I feel the plastic latches on the legs and the device itself just feels flimsy, not what I used for Netgear but it works and I

A very simple device with no frills. But good enough.

I need an inexpensive WiFi router to replace the WiFi built into my AT&T modem. This is because AT&T doesn't let you set up your own DNS service, they want everything to go through their servers, presumably to collect data about clients' web activity. You need a vertical form factor. The 2K and 5K signal is also quite strong. Support for all common router configuration options (DNS, NAT, port forwarding, etc.). Less than $100. The Netgear N600 seems to meet these criteria well. Nothing special.

Good product! would recommend.

We have been using this router for about a year, no complaints. The signal is excellent, the quality is good, the speed is good, even if the hurricane cuts off the power, it does not take long to restart. Definitely recommended for the price. I even bought a second one for my parents house and they had no complaints either. It gives you a predefined password and information to register the device and your Netgear account. This is a simple setup, it was my first setup and I had no problems. As…

Very disappointed! for router

Very disappointed with this router. When I first plugged it in, the download speed was incredibly slow. I speak VERY slowly. After searching the internet I found someone complaining about the same problem. One of the default settings seems to be to blame. I had to go into the router settings to find out. After the replacement, the speed increased to an acceptable level. I thought: great! Everything should be fine now. Bad luck. I had intermittent "drops" where the WiFi signal was fine for a…
