Pump seems to work as do gauges, hose fittings are leaking so much you can see refrigerant escaping. At least the yellow inlet hose needs to be replaced as the fittings are leaking so bad it's a bit weird. As with any other cheap China junk, you are taking a risk.

The assembly as a whole could not hold a vacuum even with all the fittings on a domestic air conditioner "hand tight". This kit is NOT SUITABLE FOR R410a used in domestic air conditioners and for this reason it may not have been able to withstand its vacuum. But anyway, the pump suddenly stopped after about 5-10 minutes (although it started working again after a few minutes - find out).

It works fine at first but as it heats up it loses the ability to create a good vacuum. I was never able to pull it below 600 microns and as the device warmed up it seemed to land at around 1200 microns. If I let it cool for 30 minutes I was able to pull out 750 microns. This is probably fine for most automotive work, but for HVAC you need to pull less than 1000 microns to evaporate moisture and 400 microns is a very common vacuum test level.

Vacuum pump worked great, got a little warm after 30 minutes but worked. Wanted to top up the system and suspected the hose was too small to go to the tank. The adapters that came with it were also the wrong size. Luckily I still had the old gauges to use for charging. Overall it's good value for the money, but using two different gauges, one for vacuuming and one for loading, is a hassle. If they provided the correct adapters. This will be a 5 star rating.

I bought it in advance when I needed it. When I finally tried it for the first time, vacuum pump oil was leaking everywhere. I was just lucky, the return period has also expired. Firstly the kit doesn't come with a leak detector as advertised which isn't a big issue as I don't currently need to spot any leaks. What really annoys me is that the service hose adapters don't fit the base r134 tap that every auto shop sells. So if spending over $130 on this kit wasn't enough, now I have to take the service hose to the store so I can pick up an adapter.
