Fast service and plugs work great. My Mercury Mariner works great. My experience that led to this purchase was that my engine stalled at high speed. The engine would not start until the spark plugs were cold, but then it would idle.

Pros
  • Cold rolled threads to prevent thread rotation and damage to cylinder heads; The trivalent coating eliminates the need for extreme pressure properties.
Cons
  • Replaceable

This spark plug is designed with a resistor to prevent interference from electrical noise from FM radios. That's what the "Z" in the product number stands for. I could use a regular model that doesn't have a "Z" in the product number. The outboard motor in my boat comes with these spark plugs. So I'll stick with what's out there. I can't find these spark plugs at any of my local marine stores. I'm glad I can order it online.

Pros
  • Quantity: 1 pc.
Cons
  • Outer

My speakers stop ticking :)

Quite expensive but nothing cheap on the boat. I installed them on my '96 Mercury 115hp 2-stroke outboard and replaced the no-resistance version to get rid of the ticking noise coming from my 6x9 speakers at idle. Of course they did their job. There is no longer a tick. I was also going 2mph faster than before with the same load, but it could have been the wind. It definitely didn't hurt performance and certainly made it easier. For the $28 I paid for four ports, you can't go wrong. I couldn't…

Pros
  • 98% pure copper core increases heat dissipation for reliable starting and prevents spark plug overheating
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
