Easy install on my Synology DS416play

Based on YouTube reviews this is the best choice. Very easy to install and equipped with many extras to help you change cable lengths and pins. My Synology was easy to disassemble and put back together. They connected to the 4 pin connector as they should and booted for the first time. They are also adjusted based on the temperature profile set on Synology. In "Quiet Mode" they are barely audible and get louder at lower settings. Overall, they offer more than enough cooling for my system in…

Excellent fan with low noise and excellent air movement

I bought these for my Synology 916+ NAS. First, I accidentally bought another SS02 model and found that it is 4 pin while Synology NAS is only 3 pin. Sent them back and got this one instead which fits perfectly. I'm using 4 x 10TB Ironwolf hard drives in my NAS, so I definitely want to make sure these puppies are cool. The old fans were noisy and just didn't move the air. Sure, those fans are expensive for 92mm fans, but when you're only spending over $1,200 on your NAS, keeping your drives as…

Suitable for Synology DS218+

My Synology NAS had a defective fan. It worked fine, but when it was turned off it wouldn't start again. I traced it to a fan. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the original replacement was nowhere in stock with a reasonable delivery time, so I bought this one. Works great (I had to remove the rubber anti-vibration pads on the side of the case) and my NAS is working again. This fan seems to be the Mercedes of fans, it comes in a fancy package with tons of adapters and extensions so it's a bit of a

Great fans Computers and accessories

I've always been skeptical about Noctua fans just because of their price. But after actually installing it in an MSi Aegis machine for extra airflow, I was blown away by the (bad pun, I know) fan quality. It's very quiet and also pushes out a decent amount of air for its size. I use it on an Asetek AiO 92mm liquid cooler and it does an excellent job of keeping the CPU quiet despite only running in a pull configuration. I recommend this to anyone who wants that extra exhaust fan, especially if…

The best investment in a compilation!

Super quiet and keeps my suitcase really cool. I left it on all the time, then the CPU fan, GPU fan and PSU fan can turn on as needed for those thermal loads. Before this case, the CPU fan was always on, the GPU was on for every game, and after a short start-up process, the PSU fan was also on. After I installed it as a case fan, the CPU idles or shuts down, the GPU rarely turns on, and the PSU fan doesn't turn on at all. Stats: Case Lenovo IdeaCentre 300CPU i5 6400 2.7GHz (3.3GHz Boost)…

Flawless installation in DS213j

Synology Diskstation thoughtfully tells you when the fan is not working. It's better to know that the fan is dying before you cook the discs. Mine has been out of service intermittently for several months. I blew the dust out and increased my speed, but knew I didn't have much time when I went shopping and landed on the Noctua. that rotates every minute of the day and protects all your data. Comes with a wide range of fasteners. I preferred noise deadening nylon rivets to screws. There's also a

Industry gold standard, works great.

Noctua is the most expensive fan and it's worth it. Look, the difference between a budget fan and a great fan is $10, so just go for it. The kit includes everything you need for installation: adapters, screws, etc. Comes in a box suitable for Tiffany's. Very quiet. The only minor issue I had was that I had trouble cutting the supplied screws into the plastic, so I just used screws from an old fan. General information: Be sure to choose the right size.
