Great tool for changing motors

At an unbeatable price. I have done several engine changes and this is the best thing in my life. I've towed everything from an Audi Turbo 4 cylinder to a Jeep srt 6.4 and it does its job every time.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Turns engine pull into a one man job

This thing was perfect for revving my 4.0 Ranger engine to get in and out of my '93 Ford Ranger transmission since I had to pull out the engine to change my oil pump and pallet seals.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some little things

Compact, gets the job done.

Works like a champ. Comes with good lifting lugs. Please note that the maximum tilt angle is about 45 degrees. If you exceed this value, the cable will start to "rewind" and it will be very difficult to untangle it and return to normal tracking.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some bugs

It's worth it if you're making a lot of engines!

Great for in and out, but not recommended if you're upgrading, it just doesn't adjust like a worm gear. But logging in and out works fine. This is a very useful tool. It speeds up removal and installation, not only can you achieve extremely good angles, you only need to install 2 bolts without having to adjust the chains or additional links.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Quality

Great design, easy to use

I worked as a line technician at a car dealership for many years. I have used this sling many times for towing engines. I have since retired from the industry and left this noose to a colleague who helped me make money. I slipped on it once, but that was because the lock wasn't fully closed. Also, I wish it came with a quality set of carabiners/hooks, but that was an easy fix as I bought a few off Amazon at the same time I bought this strap. Would 100% buy it again!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Expensive

How about a hoist under Tools & Equipment

I needed a motor sling (leveller) to get the engine/transmission out of my Triumph TR6. It worked really well, just wish it had snags or maybe. I could fit hooks as many engines already have lifting rings/lugs and I'm not complaining. I found it a bit frustrating when you had to turn the 1/2 inch dial to level/flatten the level. A small tab is required to keep it at the level where you want to load the load. You just need to get it right to lock/ the tab could be "unlocked" to be moved again.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Great product well designed light weight easy to store

With the help of a friend and a 2 tonne lift we have a 5.2 liter Chrysler engine with an A500 gearbox installed in a Dodge Dakota pickup truck. without removing the radiator bracket. With the Oberg Sling, it was easy enough to flip the motor and gearbox assembly with an 18-inch chopper. Although it required a strong hand to turn it while holding the lock with the other hand. An excellent product, well designed for its purpose, light weight and takes up little space when not in use. I can highly

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Use in car service.

Great tool, light weight, doesn't take up much space, can easily handle the Range Rover V8 engine. Next I will test on a 7.3L diesel assembly. If it slows down I will definitely leave another review. Tilting the motor back and forth takes some getting used to, but works much faster than a conventional loading bridge. It is recommended to use a breaker instead of a ratchet to make it easier to move back and forth when leveling the bell body. The only thing I would change is to somehow make it in

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
