Less than 2 years before major failure which required replacement

We bought this camera as we were tired of dropping the Canon focus on family photos. They usually range from $200 to $350. A drop on the pavement or hard surface and they're done. We didn't care about the water resistance of the new camera. In October 2013, we paid $210 for the Revain because it turned out to be one of the best cameras in reviews. The camera worked for less than 2 years until a serious malfunction occurred where we had cases where the screen was black when the camera was turned

I spent a lot of time comparing reviews and specs of many cameras in this "rugged camera". " segment. It all came down to Nikon AW100 and Olympus TG-820 for my price range and feature needs. I chose Olympus over Nikon for many reasons. The TG-820…
