Well constructed tool kits

This socket works well and will last for millennia if you don't lose it. This bushing is too long to remove all the injectors from the van while the engine is still in place.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some cons

Perfect for 6.5 Detroit

Perfect for 98 GMC K3500 with 6.5 turbo diesel. My husband was thrilled that he has one so he can do his own injector work. He said it worked very well. The best price I could find online or locally. Act!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Very poor quality for tools and equipment

Very loose fitting 12 point hex nozzle head with rounded edges. Rounded out the socket immediately when trying to get the old jets out after having to file the corners of the square drive to fit the ratchet or 3/8 extension. Very very bad quality for the price. I ended up finding a really cheap 30mm 6 point 1/2 head that worked fine. This is very expensive junk.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Has disadvantages

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good but only 4 stars

Perfect size, thin enough to fit between the injector and the casting in the head. The ability to use a socket wrench or an open-end or open-end wrench helps a lot in tight spaces. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 just because it feels like it should be a bit tighter around the jets. I had to screw the injector back into the head a few turns only to loosen the bushing with a few wiggles because it was too tight to get out by hand. I don't know them all, but mine could be a little smaller to fit…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Repair

Use a 30mm allen key when installing or removing a Bosch brand injector.

This socket is designed for one use. Removing a Bosch injector from a 6.5/6.2g diesel engine. How could he fail at this one task?! It's free and it's a nest of stars. Bosch nozzles are rounded on the corners so you can see in my photos why they easily overshoot. This should come in handy since OTC and Bosch are owned by the same company. I have included photos of my old socket set that I used for this job. It cost me anywhere from $5 to $20 for a port set. Remember, if your fuel return lines…

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works well but the finish could be better

Other reviews of poor finish on 3/8" square hole are correct. 8" wrenches or Craftsman extensions or other quality wrenches with squarer ends. But I was able to use an unnamed (probably Chinese) 3/8" extension that had a fairly rounded 3/8" end and fitted snugly into a vaguely square 3/8" hole on the socket. A 3/8" hole with a file will probably work, but I need to get that, and it shouldn't involve an expensive head. Otherwise this head seems to work fine without damaging the small fuel return

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Some flaws
