I purchased this item just over a month ago and as soon as I installed it the radio worked the first time but after only 6 weeks it stopped working properly. It could just be that particular item or the seller as the box turned out to be fake.

Works great. Supplied with wiring harness and plug and play connector. Worked great on my Pioneer and my radio's power management is perfect with the red wire (which is in the wiring harness labeled for navigation purposes). This red ignition wire is 12V and can be used to power the radio when the car is started.

worked fine with my Pioneer deck, shame I didn't program the advanced controls before installation, you can long press the steering wheel volume buttons to change tracks, or normal Squeeze to adjust the volume but well, it worked perfectly on the first try. The deck works the same as the factory model. The Metra adapters didn't work on my Touareg, but this one did.

I like it more than I thought. Works great on my Jetta. I give it one star because in certain situations when you move around your MFD it forces you to change channels or songs which is very annoying. You can avoid this by removing these buttons from the default programming, which isn't difficult, but you will lose the ability to change lanes from your steering wheel. Not so hot what's up. Volume, mute, and phone are all you really need, and these buttons don't cross functionality with an MFP.

Note for Sony XAV-AX100 users: You need to set the Preset knob to 7 instead of 8 for this to work with the Sony XAV-AX100 main unit. Once you set it to 7, you'll need to use the custom steering wheel control option in the Sony head unit itself. This is exactly the product I needed. The project I was working on replaced the standard stereo in my 2004. Volkswagen Jetta GLS with JVC KDR840BT. I could probably replace the stereo with a simple wire harness converter or even cut the stock wire harness and hook up the radio directly to the speaker and amp audio wires.
