3 color cartridges and 1 black cartridge work fine. But my WF-3540 does not recognize the second black cartridge. As I have already opened the product and used it for about a week, I cannot return the entire packaging.

Most cartridges worked but my chip was not recognized as full by my Epson so I replaced the chip with my old black ink cartridge and it worked. Who would have thought they were interchangeable. I then learned that one could use a device to reset the ink cartridge chip, but I ended up not doing that as it would have cost $10 to reset the chip, and figured it was just a one-time mistake.
