Expected to get these and you have to poke through the sharp ends to re-prick old holes that were mostly covered. Happy to see the applicator's packaging, much easier but maybe not as good as by hand, and to be able to feel it through an old piercing and just rip open the healed inside. Bought this to have first pair of earrings. This is the only type of earrings I can wear in my ear cartilage. A regular sized post is fine too. I also sometimes have to use starters in my other ear piercings when, despite the first 40 years, my body decides to give up the idea of a piercing. lol They are great and I bought 3 different types of them. No regret. I may even choose to use one of the kits to add new holes.
