Works great good for tools and gear

A bit like a copy but works great. Probably the cheapest way to remove/install Subaru valves. Put some cold medicine on the threads and you won't have any problems.

Works great - tools and gear

I had to order one of these to replace the valves on the ej20 engine I bought for my WRX. When I saw that others wanted more than $80 for them, I decided to give these a try. Worked great and saved me $50. recommend this if you are doing valve work on an EJ engine series.

Best value for money

Excellent product, identical to more expensive products on the market. For those who don't know, you have to lubricate the threads with some kind of grease or assembly grease. AARP Ultra Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant is great for this. Overall worth every penny

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Very expensive

Suitable for occasional use but do not buy for professionals.

It worked great on a 2.0L WRX cylinder head. This is a great buy if you don't have reuse plans such as B. in a service center. The aluminum threads started to peel off after the first four valves. That should be enough for several head sets, otherwise I would have opted for the steel version.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons

Works perfectly! on Engine Tools

Nothing in this world is more difficult and frustrating than trying to get a job done without the right tools. This tool helped me disassemble the entire valve train on the heads of my Subaru in just minutes! I love this instrument very much. Be sure to lubricate the screw with grease or oil. I also went to my hardware store to get 2 longer bolts and washers to attach the tool to the head.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great tool for dohc subaru j325 engine. Replacing the valve guide seals initially took several hours. The guards went no further and are flying over the garage and they will never be found again! The second head with this tool only takes about an hour. I didn't really get it until the fourth. Install them first, then point them down until they are past the valve stems. Let go slowly. Did! Be sure to tap the valve stems with a soft mallet to ensure they are seated and not loosening. When I found

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Hard to say

Drops of aluminum shavings in the head

In this review I will be frank. I would like to return this product, but unfortunately the reconfiguration date has passed. The reason I'm giving it a start is that with continued use the aluminum flakes chip off very badly and easily and thus the metal shavings get into your engine. I found I was constantly blowing on it and had to unscrew it all the way to keep the shwing from getting into my head. I would never use this again but I say this even though the product is very poor it only does…
