I bought this to adjust a 10 gallon portable air tank. I added a 3/8" x 3 foot Goodyear inlet hose and a quick connect between the regulator and the air hose. Now I can fill the tank faster without using the valve stem. and I don't need a regulator when trying to to inflate a tire. It works well, the regulator allows me to adjust the pressure up to 80psi which reduces wear on my tools and keeps more air in the tank. Bracket and gauge come loose. As others have pointed out, the 1/4 NPT threads are overcut so they barely seal - but they do seal. Weird that they managed to get the 1/8" NPT gauge right. Some pieces have a shine around the casting marks. I cleaned up some and then took it apart to make sure the pieces weren't floating in it. as something crooked The bottom plug for the valve seat was screwed on very poorly - the threads snapped off when reassembling. Bought to fix an old Dewalt/Emglo compressor. It fitted well and was easy to install, unfortunately I couldn't get the pressure relief valve to stop the bleed (it only stopped the bleed when the tank pressure and the set pressure were the same, which is useless). It was a slow leak so it would have worked in a pinch, but I figured if I bothered to fix the compressor I could get it right.
