This replacement filter was a direct replacement for the VF5000 filter in my shop vacuum. It took me quite a bit of time to clean my workshop vacuum after removing the old, probably original filter - it had nothing to do with the quality of that filter. I just wanted to put it in the cleanest possible environment. After installing a new filter, the vacuum cleaner worked like new. Vacuum suction is up again.

This filter has done a great job of keeping the air in my basement clean and fresh. I have an air monitor in my basement because airflow is limited. Using this filter with an air purifier will keep the level in a healthy range. Without this CO2, allergens and dust would be at unhealthy levels, using an air purifier with a quality filter like this is a must. I recommend this filter which is better than the filter it can't.

Filter out neck cracks the first time you remove! What waste. Regardless of the price, I can reuse the filter, but it snapped my neck as seen in another user's photo. When the filter media gets a little wet it also starts to break down which made the first of my two bags go bad.
