This is a great product but I wouldn't over-treat the base. I have some metal splinters because it's a bit rough. I still use them today and they do the job I need them for.

I work in an office where lawyers keep returning phone messages that I've written to them. They fall out of the binders so now I just keep them on these holders. I especially like the rubber tips that I can replace after placing the message on the holder.

I ordered this for the restaurant I work at because the ones we had before broke after only 1 month of use. They arrived within a day and I can already say that the quality of the materials is 100% better than others I've bought. I am sure that they will accompany me for a long time.

They hold my notes until I need them but every time I move them around the table the base comes loose. The screw-on nut has almost no grip and is very easy to loosen. I have four of these and use two but both have the same problem. Plan to use something to tighten the screws snugly and I'm sure they will stay in place. I just don't have the strength of my hands or the right tools that wouldn't break the nut.

After a little over a week of use I only have 1 of 4 left. The bases are very thin and hollow with very little threading to screw in and hold the base rods in place. They all flexed off the base at the attachment point because the bars weren't firmly in place. My usage was limited to maybe 5-10 tickets per day, rarely more.
