Great way to save on plastic bags

In an attempt to save on plastic, I switched to Ziploc bags for our boys' school lunches. I was very happy with them. They're big enough to fit on almost any snack or sandwich, and I love the fun stickers they come with. I started using them whenever I could instead of plastic wrap or other bags for all types of groceries around my house. I think they are great and very comfortable.

Home Cooking/Baking is a sharing medium with

Each year I start baking and share cookies, muffins and anything else I make with family and friends. I use these big little bags to pack them and they come with little stickers that help keep the bag closed until you deliver it or someone takes it out of the big bin to take with them. They perfectly preserve the freshness of baked goods / sandwiches and are easy to work with. Thanks to Reynolds for providing it.

But wax paper decomposes. It's not compostable, and landfills often have so little air inside that even things that should decompose don't. However, if you want to use less plastic, use wax paper! I use this size to cover about half of a cucumber or onion that I haven't used yet. I also use it for cheese. This is…
