would recommend for auto and vehicle electronics

It fits great and is very strong but I may have used the wrong part when assembling so below is a small section showing the inside of the wrap. There was another faceplate I could put in there that would fit better, but that's my business. But it goes very well with my 2008 Ford Explorer!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • great price

Extra 12v cable missing from documentation

Used on my 10 year old F150. Fits well. I wish the material was a little more premium, but that would do. The wiring harness is marked 08 and below. It will fit but the extra 12v wire will not fit and is not in this harness as shown in the picture. maybe it was there for 08 and under. I had to pull it from somewhere else. white/pink stripes. it took me some time to figure it out. I wish I had a reference to this in the documentation as it is different for 09-12 F150. Saved me over an hour.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Modern

Great for the price

Installed this bezel kit with a Sony touch screen head unit. I have a late 2012 Ford F-150 XLT and had no trouble fitting the frame, but you should be aware that the wiring harness does not fit these trucks. Packaging states for 2004-2008 F150 which requires more wiring than 2009-2012 models. Save yourself the headache and make sure you get the correct wire harness before soldering the wires. Also, I wasn't into smooth black ABS when it first came out, so I painted it with Lowe's plastic primer

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some little things

Perfect fit great! 2012 f150

I liked this fitment kit I have a 2012 f150 I was concerned because some people said it was too short but mine fits perfectly. Everything matched. I installed a two din radio, the hole needed to be wider so I took a razor blade and shaved the hole a bit. Then the radio slid right in! (Now for the wiring harness). Everything went perfectly! However, do not forget to route the power cable from the fuse box. First I connected everything, then nothing happens. Then I remembered previous reviews…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Versus Metra - Car Electronics Accessory

My setup was for a 2007 Mercury Milan (Ford Fusion clone). Not a natural fit. After visiting Best Buy, the tech recommended a Metra setup that was a better fit. He said I would never try a set under that harsh rating. The Metra set has step by step instructions and was easier. So I overpaid for Metra, but it was worth it. However, the Scosche kit had better hardware than the Metra, which only included a couple of cheap screws to attach the kit to the head unit. I ended up using a Metra kit and…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Almost never

Worked with a lot of extra time and polish, I do not recommend.

Purchased for a 2002 Mazda B3000 (Ford Ranger). My setup was very simple: a factory double din on a new quiet Kenwood single din stereo, at least that's how it should have been. The one-size-fits-all approach didn't work in this case. No part of it, except for the pocket that took the place of a double din, worked without some serious measuring, cutting, sanding, and sanding. Only the sides had to be sanded in order to be able to mount the device without a metal pallet. The holes in the side…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No Instructions
