I don't know if it was stored like this or how, but it wasn't very sticky. I bought it to tie copper wire garlands which of course isn't the intended purpose but I guess I won't be using it to send a package either as I'm afraid it will open. I think it would be good for paper or envelopes. I ended up buying duct tape from the dollar store for the lights.

I can't compare Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape to any other tape. This is the only tape I use to wrap things. It does a good job of capturing packets or whatever you're using it for. I recommend a straight-sided box. Any boxes with a ripple effect where the tape cannot lay flat on the box etc. can cause jamming problems. Therefore, there should be no gaps in the packaging material where the tape will not lay flat on the surface so you can get a good seal.

This is the material of choice for professional shippers and is a decent price if you don't use much and only buy one roll each blue Moon. Great tape for transport, especially if you have a professional tape dispenser (TAPE GUN). The tape is thick enough to be found and reloaded and is less likely to tear off permanently like the cheap stuff so you don't have to spend 5 minutes fiddling with the tape every time you ship a package want.
