When I first opened the package, the texture of the hair ties was almost like suede? like velvet? It was nice on the hands but definitely not on the hair. I was very upset because the hair ties were pulling on my hair and not comfortable at all. Without a doubt the most beautiful hair ties I have ever tried/used. I never leave product reviews but the quality was amazing and I had to share it hoping it would help someone make a purchase. I have very long hair but it is quite thin and it keeps my hair light. Durable, great grip and internal elastic has perfect tension/extension. Seriously, if you're not sure, just her. You will not be disappointed.

Love it. They look so soft and yet strong. They feel good in my hair but I'm not worried about them damaging my hair like a regular ponytail holder would. I grew up in the 80's and it brings me back. But they seem to be of much better quality than I remember. This is a great purchase.

Although the description says the brown, dark gray and light gray hair ropes are made of synthetic suede, I found them to be too stiff compared to the lighter pastel colors which were softer and more attractive. The lighter colors were better quality, didn't like the fact that the darker colors were lower quality.
