Battery defective or stored incorrectly

I changed the clock battery 3 times. The battery showed a full charge after about a week. This time it still showed 60% charge even after 2 weeks. The seller kept insisting that it needed to be calibrated. After wearing the watch 24/7 for months, I took it off for 2 days and the watch stopped (although the battery should last a few weeks on a single charge). I have contacted the seller but there has been no response for 4 days. Take the battery somewhere else.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Custom-fit and perfect replica of the original.

My old Seiko Kinetic watch hadn't worked for years and having been replacing batteries in family watches for quite some time I decided to see if I could fix my Kinetic watch. I've searched online for videos and seen how to repair and identify my watch model, which enabled me to find the battery/capacitor needed to get the job done. The Revain retailer/source provided me with the exact item that was perfect for me and now my old 'reliable' watch is back on my wrist every day, keeping accurate…

Pros
  • Great Design

Good product but NOT a great product

I have bought four capacitors from this seller (three from Revain and one from Ebay) for my two Seiko watches and two Pulsar. The seller is good, the goods are excellent. But after installing these capacitors when I checked the charge percentage it always shows 66% (20 minute mark). I changed the capacitors but the same result for all these capacitors. I wish the manufacturer shows MFG. The date is on the capacitors or on the packaging, or at least the seller tells us the MFG. Date. It seems…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

Back from the dead in the car AV installation

My 20 year old Seiko Arctura Kinetic (5m-62) died about 6-7 years ago. The cost of replacing a Seiko rechargeable lithium-ion battery was absurd, so I kept putting off repairs. After researching the topic and watching YouTube videos, I decided to give it a try. I have a few basic watch repair tools and supplies and have been changing batteries, straps etc for several years. Replacing the battery (not the capacitor) was easier than expected and my watch is working perfectly again. 15 minute…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Tape

Perfect for my 5M42-OC69

It comes with capacitor, spare capacitor cap, capacitor insulator shield. Installation required patience and a steady hand. I placed everything on a silicone baking sheet so I could see the tiny pieces if I accidentally ripped them off. I also bought a lighted headset/magnifying glass so I can see what I'm doing. I also had to replace the gasket on the back - SEIKO part number FH2980B0AI still requires a lot of hand shaking to charge the battery and I'll update this in a few days to make sure…

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

As expected. for car electronics accessories

Arrived quickly enough and with a charge bordering on 2/3 capacity (which is normal storage voltage). Tips for others: Watch the video and find photos of your movement with battery, insulator and washer details. Watch carefully as the left anode of the battery slides UNDER the copper contact of the mechanism. Be careful not to let the cathode contact get under the battery. Be careful not to short-circuit the battery with metal tweezers (if so, no longer than microseconds). I had to push down a…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

  • Definitely bad product
