💨 Sharper Image AXIS 16 Airbar Tower Desk Fan with Task Light: Powerful Cool Breeze and Adjustable Illumination in Sleek Black Design Review

We have a 12" model...we liked it so much we thought the 16" would be a bargain too. If that doesn't keep you busy - it showed that the Mac mini is cool. The noise level - you don't even know it is. So many ways to make it work on your desktop. Definitely recommend :)

I installed it behind the fridge to cool it as there was no air circulation. So far so good, everything has been running non-stop for a few weeks and it really helps. It's a little noisy, but only a slight hum and barely noticeable in the kitchen, where other appliances also make noise.

Too loud to be honest. This fan is made by Vornado and we have their 41 inch tower fan in our living room and it is quiet at low frequencies. However, AXIS 16 is noisy even on the lowest settings. It moves air well, especially with my use. , on the table, blows me out from under the monitor. But it's loud, +17 dB compared to the ambient noise. If it was half the speed of the low one it would be invisible and ideal for what I need.

It was a quick purchase with one day delivery and judging by the features I decided to give it a try. Just speaking for another tower fan that recently failed and this new fan met my needs. It's VERY quiet compared to a similarly sized Vornado, and its simple design makes it a sleek desktop or desktop air motor. A light I can ignore because I only use it vertically, but it's there when I need it.

THIS IS NOT A USB FAN. It comes with 2 pin 120V plug only, not suitable for AC 220V countries. The performance (when used with a transformer) is actually very good. The buzz generated by the blades is acceptable. The adjustable speed is visible and distinctive. The backlight is very good even in total darkness, but too bright to use as a night light. Cleaning won't be easy if you don't vacuum the grates. Very light yet stable when used with the included stand.

Our TV lift cabinet sits near our Kiva fireplace. The side of the cabinet can get very hot when we have a fire. So we had a 36″+ tower fan next to the closet to blow air through the closet and keep the temperature down. I wanted something less obtrusive, so I bought an AXIS 16-inch tower fan and wall-mounted it with command bars. Was very excited when I found this. I wanted something I can put on the head of the bed and blow on me since I have nowhere to pinch. It looks and works great but there is a VERY BAD rattle when I turn it on at any speed making it impossible to sleep or relax. But when I looked at the box, I noticed that it is a desktop fan.
