On the second try (each only about 15 minutes) the battery cover and batteries fell off and are now lost in the yard! The collar is now junk as there is now no way to add batteries! Very poor design as the battery cover is not screwed on deep enough to ensure it is fully secured. Let's see if the manufacturer is behind it for a return. Very disappointed!

I really liked this Sport Dog product, but it was out of stock last year. This model looks the same but uses button cells instead of those used by the Sport Dog. We do not prefer to use this due to the nature of the collar. I prefer strong, durable rubber. This is difficult to adjust and does not keep its tightness. We are very disappointed with this bark collar. Hopefully the ones I like will be available soon.

Easy to adjust for my 20 lb dog. Not inhuman at all. He warned her enough that she wouldn't squeak in a way that sounded like being reprimanded after a few barks would be a terrible pain (like some other collars might do). She has a mixed breed Chihuahua and finds it very difficult to calm down when strangers come into the house. This is much more comfortable for my guest and my dog, who can get used to the guest in a much shorter time.

A great alternative to a barking dog disturbing your neighbors. I read a review that said it causes pain, but that's not true. After receiving it I tested it myself and only felt a slight tingling sensation just enough to get the dog's attention. I take my pets off when they're home and don't put them on until I let them out. The price on Amazon is very cheap compared to what I bought at the pet store a few years ago.

DOA Batteries. I'll buy new batteries and try it out. But I expected more from PetSafe. If it doesn't work right away after buying the batteries, I'll send it back. I bought new batteries, now the collar works fine. It's been a week and our 5 month old Goldendoodle has all but stopped barking excessively. A bad battery still annoys me. Worked fine for a week but then learned to bark through the fixes. I have since bought a more expensive collar with adjustable settings.

I was sure it would be great based on the price but I went ahead and tried it. I have a 1 year old Doberman who weighs around 80-90 pounds. The collar is a bit flimsy (I usually buy thick collars) but I only use the bark collar a couple of hours a day. It definitely stops him from barking. He may forget he is on and bark once or twice, I can tell he is in shock and stops barking immediately. I used it for maybe a month and changed the batteries.
