Nice and cheap but a bit edgy

Bought to charge a large batch of 18650 cells and it works up to 4.25v or higher with the max voltage I have which is 4.32v of 100 elements. My only issue is that the RED/GREEN charge/full indicator (or circuitry) is somewhat missing. During charging the LED will be RED, but if the cell is moved/nudged at all it will result in a voltage drop or similar and the LED will turn GREEN as this means it is fully charged and will not charge again until the device is off the network Cut. I just completed charge cycles of over forty 18650 cells with this unit with no problems. Never had an overheating problem. However, early in the cycle it got hot as expected, but never to the point where I couldn't hold the charger. I took a reviewer's advice and used a small fan to blow off the heat generated. Installing the charger vertically allows more heat to be dissipated from the ventilated side. All the batteries were of the LG MH1 type with a capacity of 3200mAh, 3.7V. Buying cheap…

Cheap, works most of the time, heavily overcharged with batteries, gets very hot

I recycle thousands of Li-ion batteries. Part of the recycling process is charging them to test their capacity and internal resistance. I tested 2 such devices. They are unmatched in price and functionality. They get pretty hot as many have commented. When you lift them, the heat is dissipated. Reverse polarity protection works. I used to build my charger array from TP4506 boards, but at $1.40 per charger, buying is better than building. Also, most TP4506 boards do not have reverse polarity…
