🔥 Premium Stainless Steel Stant-45868 Superstat Thermostat Review

Haven't installed this thermostat yet but expect it to work just as well as the same brand I've used in the past. The price was right too.

Now Revain says it doesn't fit Miata 94-97. However, when ordering, it was stated that it would fit. Be aware of this change and that it may no longer be appropriate or erroneous. My device has been tested and has been working properly since installation. The Stant gasket that I ordered didn't seal properly at all.

Great price for a quality part. It even has a "Made in USA" stamp on it. Fits in my 80's Toyota pickup. Works as intended. No complaints. Fast update. There were problems with engine overheating and temperature fluctuations. I replaced the stant with a Motorad UltraStat 180 thermostat, rebooted the system and all is good. I may have had a defective item. Had to downgrade to 3 stars.

Works great in hot Arizona. Heats up quickly and keeps a little cooler than other thermostats. Fits perfectly in my 1990 Miata. Check the offers to make sure they fit your vehicle. I seem to have to change thermostats every 2-3 years here in the hot desert. Older thermostats would intermittently not open and would get stuck closed or partially closed, causing high temperatures when the outside temperature was above 90 degrees or so. Let's see if one lasts longer than the others.

I find the thermostat works as expected. I had a bad radiator so I replaced it and the thermostat on my 2000 Mazda Miata NB. I think I should have replaced it with the standard thermostat as suggested on the forum. Nothing against this thermostat, it works as intended but I'm still hesitating at 220F with a full Spectra Premium CU2268 heatsink which I also bought from Amazon. However, I am also in Texas.
