Worth it but not perfect

So if you're looking at this you have an old truck and the radio no longer works. The stupid GM set for the head unit no longer exists and is an option. Fits well but not perfectly. The gaps are slightly larger than the original. The color is very close but not perfect. Maybe a shadow is out. But he keeps a new radio and fills the dash with a pretty useful compartment. For a 25 year old farm and weekend truck this works perfectly.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Close. but not right.

original photo next to it. The color didn't even come close (although I'll admit the Chevy's color can vary from my GMC's). My real gripe is the hole (or lack of a hole on the new one) circled. This prevents you from installing vents and you can't get a regular drill to drill through. To drill through I had to rotate the drill by hand. Incidentally, a 1/4 inch bit is required for this. The rest of the fit is pretty good. 3 stars might be a little hard as I haven't found a closer one yet.

Pros
  • doping 🔥
Cons
  • communication with the seller

Serves its purpose but could be much better.

The color does not match the color of the dashboard but is quite close to the lining under the dashboard. It's close enough for an old rusty forklift. Clamps are easy to install and properly aligned. For the vents, you should use your old vents, which is fine, no big deal. That's right, holes must be drilled in the new part so the vent slots line up properly, or it won't rotate. Otherwise I have no complaints. Overall a good buy for your money. A little fiddling and it will work like a charm.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Secret

This image is adjacent to the original. The color didn't even come close (although I'll admit the Chevy's color can vary from my GMC's). Pros
  • Fits some 1992-1996 Chevrolet and GM trucks. NOT METRA KIT
Cons
  • Available in white only
