Very solid block and works well but needs a little tweaking.

It does what it's supposed to and I'm happy with it, but it needs a better remote control (very short range and you have to aim straight at the receiver). Also, when switching from screen to screen in 4x view mode, the audio is not instantaneous (but brief, around 1 second). You can't switch audio directly to a "screen", you have to cycle through screens 1 through 4 and then go silent to bypass them completely. So to get sound from screen 2, if you are currently on screen 3, you have to do 4…

Can't turn off screen overlays when switching

Works great, really smooth switching (tested in Adobe Premier with scrolling after another, GREAT!) but wanted to use it as an inter-production switcher when mine is out of order. It would have worked fine if it weren't for those stupid overlays. If they had two outputs, one for four-way viewing to see all input sources so you can decide which one to switch to, and one for the single main output you just switched to and this will be a real blender, albeit elementary, that at such a price (or…

The product works, but there are problems with the remote control and some other small things.

This Nierbo HDMI 4x1 Switch works but has a very short range and an unreliable remote control. I have to stand right in front of the device for the remote control to work. It also tends not to work if you have multiple HDMI lines plugged in, and if you add more it won't work. I had to turn off the device multiple times to restart it. Another annoying thing about this device is that it always shows "1920x1080p" in the top left corner, which I can't get rid of. I emailed the manufacturer about it
