Not what I was hoping for

I would give up now even though I thought it was a good deal when I bought it. This works pretty well, but you're stuck with an old Asus firmware. I like the full-featured ASUS control interface. It does not work at 5GHz with 80MHz bandwidth. With this setting, the signal comes and goes. But with a bandwidth of 40MHz we get very fast downloads and a pretty good range. 2.4 GHz is ok (but much slower). I am glad that the MAC address filtering works in the WLAN (frequency bands 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).

Reliable router that can be easily modified.

Bought one of these to replace another router that died after reading some reviews. Condition - The router arrived in a nice box. The power supply looked brand new with protective plastic on it. The router itself was in like new condition with no external defects. The antennas came in a package and looked like new. It came with an instruction manual and a note from Revain about "certified refurbished". In general, it looks like a completely new router from the outside. Operation - The routerโ€ฆ

ASUS RT-AC68U, an excellent router at an amazing price

----------------------------------- ----------- - ---UPDATE - May 2018 For those who were "forced to update to the AC-1900 firmware after trying to install the latest ASUS RT-AC68U firmware on their AC-1900 (from the April or May 2018 firmware updates on the web - ASUS website), there is a workaround/fix. This is quite difficult and will take some time as an exploit is used in the web interface to downgrade the firmware. However, if you follow the instructions, you should be able to flash yourโ€ฆ

Fast, powerful router, expandable to RT-AC68U via firmware

. Excellent dual-band router, very fast and very reliable. I've been using a regular Asus RT AC68P for over 1 year with no downtime or other issues. I wanted to get one to replace an existing 2.4GHz router that I was using to extend my network to cover a dead zone. First, the refurbished unit I received looks brand new. It was in perfect condition and came with instructions, ethernet cable and charger in a simple box. The only difference I saw from my AC68P was the T-Mobile badge on the frontโ€ฆ

The updated review is a cheap way to get a reliable mesh home network if you want to flash firmware.

UPDATE: 2018-03-27------------------------------------ -- --------- ------------- ------------- Asus seems to have completely disabled AiMesh functionality for all users now T-Mobile TM-AC1900 on ASUS RT-AC68U flashed with the latest firmware update (version 3.0). .0.4.384.20624). After updating via router admin interface you will no longer see AiMesh nodes and have nothing to do with AiMesh, period. Also, after attempting to manually reinstall the same updated firmware, my router reverted toโ€ฆ
