The product is really good, Im glad I bought it.

A typical high-capacity gel-free tank, which is why it heats up. Taken 4 pcs. for a cold backup. For NAS, there are doubts, the system unit, yes, but only with the airflow of the disk compartment. As usual 10TB (marketing) = 9.09TB real. Sustained write speed (no cache, beginning of disk) 155 MB/sec. Time will tell the reliability, but for a cold backup it can be long (hopefully).

Pros
  • The most affordable price in the 10 TB category.
Cons
  • Hot. Use only in baskets with airflow. Otherwise, it heats up to 70 degrees and is cut down.

Well done, but I wont buy any more.

When I moved the library from another drive, it reached 50 degrees in an external USB rack after three hours of operation. 29 degrees when idling. needs specialized cooling; without it, it will perish. Despite the fact that it appears such, the operational temperature range is only up to 55 degrees. One star less for that.

Pros
  • Up to 230 MB/s of recording speed while simultaneously streaming huge files
Cons
  • The load causes it to heat up to 50 degrees without cooling.

Best product I have ever reviewed, I recommend it to everyone!

Well, since this is a server disk, I don’t see any reason to lower the rating due to heating, you can use it in a home PC, but only to have something blown over it, in my case I had to , since there was no stationary place for the cooler. overall satisfied with the purchase. Got pros: A good, inexpensive server disk, one of the best in terms of price / gigabytes. Some cons: It's heating up! without active cooling, with constant recording, it can heat up to shutdown.

Very reliable and does its job.

This hard drive works pretty well as a server hard drive and I've even tried it as storage for games on my desktop. Great for gaming and pretty fast as it can also be used for a desktop pc except the holes are in a different area but that doesn't really matter to me. I installed it securely on my computer for a good fit. I think when it comes to storage, Toshiba lives up to its name of being reliable and durable.

Pros
  • Internal Hard Drives
Cons
  • Modern

NOISY! Internal Hard Drives

I have two of these drives in a RAID enclosure. I won't say they're loud, but I can't hear the fan due to the rattling of the drives. Let's see if that settles down a bit once the RAID build is complete, but for now they're poised to make a comeback.

Pros
  • Storage
Cons
  • Hardly ever

The product is really good, I'm glad I purchased it.

I transferred the library from another disk, in 3 hours it heated up to 50 degrees in an external USB rack. At idle 29 degrees. Requires special cooling, without it will die. Although it seems like the operating temperature range is up to 55 degrees. Minus a star for that.

Pros
  • Speed, up to 230 MB / s recording in a stream with large files
Cons
  • It heats up to 50 degrees without cooling in the load.
