Despite attempting to connect to Wireless Fidelity (WiFi), following the small written instructions on the website failed to connect to WiFi. Came back with great disappointment. Save yourself the hassle - buy a regular lamp and a separate Alexa-based lamp.

I had this light and last night my 2.5 year old got out of bed at a strange time. I put him back in bed and noticed his light was off, which was odd. I tried turning it back on but couldn't so felt behind me to see if the plug was coming out the back of the light and burning my hand and found the light had melted where the cord had entered. I am so thankful that my child woke up before a major fire happened!

This lamp was nice and bright. It also had many color and brightness options and was a good lamp. But that's all. This is a very expensive lamp. Mine couldn't connect to the WiFi no matter how hard I tried. I moved closer and tried again. I tried to connect it for a couple of hours and then contacted tech support who threw up another hour of my time. (By comparison, I bought a smart plug and it worked within 5 minutes!) Not a very good buy. He'll be back as soon as possible.

I've been looking for and thinking about this lamp for several months until I finally got it. The light works when you just press the power button, but not if you want it to connect to the app, which is the whole point of having a smart light. May update later but for now. I love this lamp. It's perfect in every way and connects to Alexa. I had to break the Wi-Fi bands to connect it to the 2.4GHz frequency. I decided to write a review to help anyone trying to connect this lamp to their WiFi. I have Google WiFi and Google Home Hub and with a little extra work I was able to get it to follow voice commands. First, Google WiFi doesn't have two separate instances to connect to.
