Used this camera protector for a Nest outdoor camera on a siding. Seems to be working fine. I was concerned that the red night vision lights on the lid would reflect, but I didn't have this problem. when the camera is facing down. Wind noise was sometimes recorded when the leaves on the trees were not moving. So I turned off the microphone. Not sure if it's related to the cover, but airflow between the cover and the camera could be recorded.

Post-installation update: As mentioned, I only used a vinyl trim clip (1) for attachment. If you need more when it's windy I can add. I also painted the inside black and roughly matched the outside to my siding. See the new image below. Now I'm going to buy another one for the patio camera. First review: They're bigger than I thought, but my current cameras are pretty small, Eufy 2C. No problem, they still work if I upgrade to a larger camera. I bought four of these for my cabin on a remote cattle station in Idaho. In spring it rains a lot and in winter it snows. Nest iQ outdoor cameras are mounted on utility poles and need some protection. The curtains need a flat surface to attach to, so I laid them on the back panel and then mounted the back panels to the rods. I noticed the problem the first night. The hoods I bought are white and for some reason they interfere with the cameras night vision. Without hoods, night vision is normal;
