Works great with Jackery

If you need or require a cable to charge your Jackery directly from your solar panel this is the perfect option. This is a strong, durable cable with a perfect fit. It appears to have been designed for Target Zero but should work with a range of solar generators. This can save lives if the power goes out for a long time.

Works with Goal Zero Yeti

Works with Yeti Goal Zero. I have a Yeti 1250 and 400. I've hooked up 3rd party flexible solar panels and used this MC4 to 8mm adapter and it worked fine. Just don't use an inverter as this is already built into the Yeti. For the Yeti 1250 I connected two 100W panels. There are two ports on the Yeti 1250 and each port can only handle 160W (240W total). I accidentally connected two panels (200W total) and only used one port. I received an error message. At first I thought the adapter wasn't…

Revised Review - Solar and Wind

The manufacturer contacted me for my review, which I always appreciate, so I wanted to update my comments a bit to be objective. Overall, the adapter is well suited for my purposes. I'm still testing with different panels and will keep updating. Cable polarity does not match product photo. The photo shown shows the positive red wire going to the positive marked MC4 socket and the negative black wire going to the negative marked plug. The version I received has a red wire for the jack, but the…

Polarity is correct for Goalzero!

I've seen a lot of feedback complaining about polarity. This one is correct. And if you look at the overview images, you will see that the positive and negative markings on the MC4 connector do not match the wire colors. However, since this is on the receiving end of your Goalzero solar panels, the polarity is actually correct. MC4+ connects to MC4. As long as your panel's positive pin (red) is connected to the red wire on this connector, you're good to go. Also, the blue 8mm adapter is perfect

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works with Goal Zero Yeti

I used an 8mm MC4 solar adapter cable to charge the Goal Zero Yeti using a standard 100w solar panel at our family camp. We used to use portable power supplies and transfer them from the charging station to the sockets for the LED lights. This summer I wired everything together to connect to the Yeti and ran a solar panel cable to the central location where the Yeti was stored. Entry. It can also be expanded by adding batteries on both sides. We use Yeti to power all of the camp's LED lights…
