I would rate them as medium to slightly large curlers. They are not suitable for short hair. I wish they were a little smaller, but I didn't need the tiny curlers you would use on short hair and I wanted a very tight curl. They stay on all night even though I only wear them on my head. I don't want to sleep on it all night, it hurts. It is difficult to determine the size of the curlers just from the description and the picture.

I don't like latches and am using some 'bricks' I have from years ago. The top of the bolt leaves burrs when you shoot the reel!

If you're trying to find "old fashioned" hair rollers like the old days, this is the closest I've found have. Every other curler I've tried (and I've tried a lot) has fallen out of my hair without holding it in place. These are made out of harder plastic than the old ones but they hold the hair nice and tight. It was difficult at first to separate the outer body of the rollers from the inner ones because they were very tight, but I noticed that they come loose making the rollers easier to use…
