Not for use with Rotor.

Absolutely not self-healing. I just got this and wanted it because my green is huge and the color conflicts with my workspace. I've used this 2 times to cut fabric with rotating Fiskars for about 20 minutes. The board has caught the fibers and is badly worn. I've been using my green carpet for years and it still doesn't have a scratch.

Quality durable mat at a good price

I was looking for something new to replace the unbranded green mat I've been using for about 10 years. Revain certainly has a wide range to choose from. I chose X-Acto because of the price of Revain and the fact that I needed a mat that could withstand high-pressure line cutting of paper (especially thick paper) with an X-Acto blade. So far it's been great! As with all mats in this formulation you can run your finger over the surface and feel your previous cut lines, however this particular…

  • Good product for its price

  • No paint needed

This rug arrived in perfect condition unlike some others.

This mat arrived in perfect condition unlike some other reviewers! I ordered it on June 11th and today I already have it! (14th June)! By the way, I didn't pay for shipping! Make sure you buy it from the right seller if you don't want to pay shipping cost and get the item fast! I paid about $13 for all of this including tax. I got it from a seller called My Office Innovations! It came in a huge box with airbags and the rug lay flat on the bottom of the box! The color was more of a light gray…

Makes inaccurate cuts, "cure " is over the top, smells bad

What a disappointing poor quality rug! Comes with a strong plastic odor guaranteeing a CA cancer/reproductive alert. Not for Precision Cuts: The top layer of plastic knocks my knives off the rails and makes it exceedingly difficult to cut straight into an accurate ruler; even where the previous lines do not yet intersect. Don't go for paper art. It also doesn't seem to extend the life of a thin scalpel blade. The grid lines are thick, they don't even line up in some places, there is no clear…

Great for Xacto cutting, but I'd call it pseudo-self-healing

PROS: Price Excellent cutting support Sharpens blade tip while cutting Useful crosshair and grading for measuring and cutting on the fly CONS: Questionable "self-healing". "Properties, I'd say it's pseudo self-healing. I've used this cutting mat on several pepakura projects since purchase, cutting shapes out of 100lb cardstock. The mat does its intended job well and provides excellent support for meticulous cutting with the Xacto knife The size is ideal for letter sized paper projects…
